Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) is the National Communication Association’s official honor society at four-year colleges and universities. LPH has more than 450 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide.
The letters of the honor society represent what Aristotle described in Rhetoric as three ingredients of persuasion: logos (Lambda), meaning logic; pathos (Pi), relating to emotion; and ethos (Eta), defined as character credibility and ethics.
Lambda Pi Eta has six goals:

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Advertising Federation is affiliated with the , a professional organization with clubs throughout the United States. The club is composed of students from the Department of Communication, graphic design majors from the Department of Art and marketing majors from the School of Business.
Throughout the academic year, AdFed students attend a variety of AAF student conferences across the nation. The pinnacle of the year is the National Student Advertising Competition, in which Ad Fed competes with teams from around to the nation to create a fully integrated marketing and advertising campaign for a real world client.
Past clients include Coca-Cola, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo!, StateFarm Insurance, and Mary Kay.
These valuable experiences give members an opportunity to network with advertising and marketing professionals and to make their names known among those agencies that may be hiring interns and new professionals.
Many graduates of the Ad Fed have gone on to jobs in agencies, while others have found the club to be invaluable in providing insight and understanding into the many ways in which professional communication is employed in modern society.
The club is open to all students and meets Mondays at 5:30 p.m. in COMM 117.

The ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Filmmakers Association was created in 2000 to serve as a student organization for the growing film production program. The three primary focuses of LFA are:
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ filmmakers network, socialize, and get together with local filmmakers, film and video production professionals from television and video production companies. In these meetings, students often learn about recent trends in industry gear and techniques. Another thing LFA members do is get together, have fun, and produce short produce films!
Finally, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ filmmakers love to go to (and enter) film festivals. Members have frequently used the club as a springboard to go to the biggest Texas fest of all, South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin.

The Professional Communication Association is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to learn about careers in the communication field. We have fun as a great social club. Professionals from the community are invited to meet with students at meetings and an annual career night.
This group does not limit itself to any single aspect of communication but covers everything from journalism to public relations to human resource management and broadcasting.
The group is open to students from all majors.
