In addition, Professor Stanley helps direct (and assists with) the Southeast Texas broadcast program, in which students videotape meetings of local and regional government entities.

He recently completed a short science fiction film. The film, the S.S. Project, pays homage to rockets, rocket scientists, super soldiers, and to 1950’s science fiction films.

Professor Stanley recently published a book with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ faculty members Nicki Michalski, Lane Roth, and Steven Zani. The book, "Martian Pictures: Analyzing the Cinema of the Red Planet," examines the role that Mars-themed science fiction films play in popular culture.
