Dedicated to enhancing resilience across infrastructure, socio-economic well-being, health, and the environment, especially in multi-disaster events. We serve the Gulf Coast and Texas through education, outreach, and a data collaborative, aligning with ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University's vision of leadership and community engagement.
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ is one of the two schools in Texas to offer a professional Doctor of Engineering Doctorate (D.E.) degree, a Ph.D. equivalent focused on solving complex problems and developing practical solutions for immediate use.
Our Southesast Texas location lies at the confluence of piney wood forests and coastal plains with a right blend of both urban and rural land uses. The Sabine and Neches Rivers and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterways areideal living labs.
We work closely with local industry to help students network and grow professionally. We boast an active American Society of Civil Engineering student chapter and one of the oldest charters of Chi-Epsilon (the National Civil Engineering Honor Society). Students also can join organizations like Engineers Without Borders.
We Give our Undergraduates free access to FE exam training with school of PE. $1000 value.
Department of CEE has partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to produce a series of graduate courses on “Engineering with Nature.”
We prepare graduates who are job and career-ready—our curriculum integrates specific technical and professional skills across all degrees. We also offer seminars and workshops on topics like resume critique, interviewing skills and etiquette. Samples of the skills we help you build:
