The cost of attendance (CoA) is an estimate of what it would cost the average student to attend ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University. Initial CoAs and awards are assessed at full-time enrollment. However, CoA and award adjustments will be made based on actual enrolled hours.

There are several types of graduate-related financial aid available to students. Depending whether you are an on-campus or online, there are several opportunities available.

Current undergraduate LU students are eligible to receive the Continuing Cardinal Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students who apply for graduate school within 2 semesters of receiving their bachelor's degree and applies only to on campus-based programs. Students must be full-time (9 hours in fall/spring, 6 hours in summer) to be eligible and is based on availability.
If awarded, students will receive a total of $2,000 to be split between fall/spring or spring/summer semester or the full amount if starting in the summer.
Texas Public Education Grant (TPEG)
This is a state grant for students with exceptional financial need. Funds are limited and are awarded based on the student's eligibility and the availability of funds. Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 4.5 hours as a graduate to receive this grant.
Work study provides part-time employment to students with financial need, allowing you to earn money to help pay education expenses. Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 4.5 hours as a graduate as well as meet other eligibility criteria to qualify.
Specialized types of financial aid available in certain circumstances.
This program provides grants to students who are completing course work needed to begin a career teaching full-time in high-need subject areas for at least four years at schools that serve students from low-income families.
Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan
This federal loan is not based on financial need; however we will determine the amount the you can borrow based on your cost of attendance and other financial assistance you are receiving. You are responsible for paying the interest on this loan during all periods. You must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the semester as well as meet eligibility requirements.
Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan
You may apply for this loan to help pay for education expenses up to the Cost of Attendance minus all other financial assistance you are receiving. You must have a completed FAFSA on file for eligibility to be determined for this loan.
