Do you want to...

See the world?     Discover new cultures?      Have a once-in-a-lifetime experience?

You can do all of this and more when you participate in one of ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University’s faculty-led study abroad programs.

The possibilities are endless with programs that quite literally span the seas from Waterford, Ireland to Calabash Caye off the coast of Belize. Each study abroad program varies in length, allowing you to choose between spending a week abroad during spring break, two or more weeks abroad during the summer, or an entire semester abroad.

Whether a ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ student chooses to study at the University of Salamanca, Spain's oldest and most historic institution, or Seoul National University of Science and Technology, one of Korea's best national universities, the outcome is often the same—a life-changing academic experience that will have a profound impact on your personal and professional future.

Why Study Abroad?

There are a number of benefits to studying abroad. For instance, research shows study abroad students are more likely to graduate on-time - with higher GPAs - than their peers who don't study abroad. Study abroad students engage with their academic pursuits in ways that are not possible in the traditional classroom setting, thus coming away from the experience with fresh knowledge and new perspectives on their studies, the world, and themselves. Other benefits of study abroad include:

  • Personal growth and maturity
  • Increasing prospective job opportunities
  • Shaping future career development
  • Facing and solving challenging problems
  • Increased self-confidence
  • Developing a personally informed view of the world
  • Better understanding of one's own cultural values and respect for diversity
