Dr. Donna Fong became a part of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University EDLD instructional team as an adjunct professor in 2014, then a full-time faculty member in the Department of Educational Leadership in 2015. Dr. Fong began her career in education as teacher of secondary theatre arts, english and reading. After 11 years of teaching, Dr. Fong became a school administrator. She served in Texas Public Schools in that capacity for 12 years as a curriculum specialist, assistant principal and principal.
Dr. Fong’s areas of interest and research are related to school culture and leadership, as well as instructional practices that prepare students for the 21st century workplace. Her areas of expertise include building relationships with community organizations and businesses in order to provide a variety of resources that enhance students’ educational experiences. In addition, she is adept at facilitating effective instruction by training educators to utilize focused, data-driven instructional planning.
Dr. Fong received her Ed.D. in educational leadership, M.Ed. in educational administration and B.A. in drama. She also holds a superintendent certification, principal certification and teacher certifications.
