What is Supplemental Instruction?

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a peer-led academic support program designed to help students succeed in challenging courses. Sessions are led by students who have previously excelled in the course and have firsthand experience with the material. SI sessions focus on the key concepts and topics covered in the course. SI leaders will review difficult material, clarify confusing points, and provide additional explanations to help students grasp the content more effectively. While attending SI sessions is voluntary, regular attendance is encouraged. Attending SI sessions consistently can help reinforce learning, improve study habits, and boost overall performance in the course.
