During your Pre-Veterinary Degree Plan studies at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University, you will work with an advisor who will guide you in tailoring your bachelor's degree for vet school application and admission. You will prepare to submit your curriculum, Veterinary School Admission Test and supporting application materials within the deadlines for the programs to which you apply. It's noteworthy that Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Science, the only veterinary college in Texas, accepts applications before you complete your undergraduate degree.
Your faculty and advisors will encourage you to maintain a high GPA and help you meet the goal of having the majority of your science prerequisites completed by the semester of application. All prerequisites must be completed by the end of the spring semester prior to admission into the veterinary school. As a veterinarian, you will have many different opportunities to work with animals. Most veterinarians work in private clinics or hospitals, but you could work with colleges, government, farms and more.
