Charge: The Faculty Senate serves as the official coordinating body for faculty perspectives on the institution's academic activities and offers policy guidance to the administration on all issues concerning faculty welfare, conduct, and engagement. The charter and by-laws of the Faculty Senate can be found in the appendices of the Faculty Handbook.
Membership & Reporting: Members are elected by and from the faculty, with Department chairs being ineligible to serve. Faculty Senators/Deans conduct election for faculty members. the process for determining the number of senators representing each college is outlined in the bylaws of the Faculty Senate.
