Minutes for CID Agenda Sept 25, 2019.  Reaud 202 3:30 pm

The meeting was well attended. Thank you for all your participation. Dr. Brenda Nichols, Liv Haselbach, James Slaydon, Tom Sowers, Brian Shook, Mark Mengerink, Diane Clark, T.C> Ho, Donna Meeks, Jill Killough, Jim Sanderson, Stuart Wright, Randall Terry, Philip Cole, Kakoli Bandyopadhyay, K.C. Sen

  1. Brenda Nichols spoke on T&P Protocols and Board of Regents schedule. Handouts are attached. Note that an application for T&P can be withdrawn before reaching the President’s office. Afterwards it becomes public record with TSUS. Dr. Nichols will also send us a link to the T&P procedures that existed for all the departments at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ. Many of us did not know of this link.

The discussion emphasized following the Dept/College/University procedures.

  1. Executive Committee meeting with the President and Provost was earlier that day and we asked for input and advice on the following. Attending were Haselbach, Alm, Slaydon, Clark, B. Nichols, Evans and Marquart. They will plan to review answers/advice with the CID on November 20th.
    1. Improvements to the study abroad procedures.
    2. Having the protocol for summer classes set in the fall during schedule building.
  • What % of online students are regional students that might otherwise be in f2f classes?
  1. Increased visibility and involvement of the CID at the University.
  2. Blackboard opening several weeks before classes start and syllabi more readily available.
  3. More support at the Research office
  • Proctorio implementation and advice.
  1. Approved Spring 2020 meeting times
  2. Roundtable: Liv asked for CID members to think of other topics for the spring meetings.
