What We Do

The Engineering Ambassadors Program adds a student component to the College of Engineering recruiting process, employer recruitment, and community activities.

Student Ambassadors assist in participating in the following events:

  • Assisting with area school career and college day events
  • Giving prospective student campus tours
  • Work academic open house and talk to prospective students
  • Participate in various engineering panels
  • Assisting with Engineering Career Fair
  • Assisting with Industrial Partnership seminars
  • Greeting advisory council members at the executive luncheon
  • First Year Math Bootcamp

Ambassador Requirements

  1. Must be at least a sophomore (>30 hours)
  2. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  3. Must be a member of the student professional organization in their discipline
  4. Positive, outgoing personality
  5. Enthusiastic about engineering and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University
  6. Must be able to devote a minimum of 15 hours of service each semester, and must volunteer at first-year math bootcamp. 
  7. Must be able to lead a minimum of 2 COE tours each semester
  8. Must be able to attend monthly Ambassador meetings
  9. Must be willing to attend a training session before starting as an Ambassador
  10. Must represent the College of Engineering and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University well

His favorite experience as a College of Engineering Student at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ was getting the opportunity to travel VEX U Worlds and compete in the world's largest robotics competition with his friends.
