Creative Convergence
Dishman Art Museum to Show "Creative Convergence"

Date(s): Friday, May 15, 6 - 8 p.m.
Location: Dishman Art Museum

The Dishman Art Museum will host "Creative Convergence," the Bachelor of Fine Arts Thesis Exhibition for Spring 2026. A closing reception will be held on Friday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.

HR Support Drop-In Session: FMLA Overview

Date: Monday, May 11, 2 - 3 p.m.
Location: CICE Building, Room 113 or

Human Resources hosts monthly HR Support Drop-In Sessions every 2nd Monday of the month. For the month of May, we will do an overview on FMLA. These ongoing open-house–style sessions are designed to give you information and dedicated time to ask the HR team questions.

Student Holocaust Exhibit

Date: Tuesday, May 12, 8 - 10:30 a.m.
Location: Archer Building, Room 201

Student researchers present a powerful Holocaust exhibit exploring antisemitism, persecution and murder, survival, resistance, and memory. Their work honors victims, amplifies survivor voices, and challenges visitors to confront hatred and protect human dignity.

Call for Entries for "Bridges of Belonging" Exhibition

Dates to submit entries: Monday, May 18 through Friday, May 22, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Dishman Art Museum

Hosted by The ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ University Resiliency Think Tank, "Bridges of Belonging: The Art of Humanity, Humility, and Resiliency" is seeking entries. Student and alumni participants are invited to submit art work that explores themes of cultivating belonging, humanity, humility, and/or resiliency.

Syllabus Simplified Workshop

Date: Tuesday, May 26, 11 a.m.
Location: Galloway Building, Room 108

Center for Academic Success offers four 60-minute summer syllabus workshops. Join a hands-on session to simplify your syllabus, clarify expectations, and prepare questions so you start class confident. The first workshop will be held on May 26 at 11 a.m. in the Galloway Building, Room 108. We look forward to seeing you!

Humana will be the new third-party administrator for the State of Texas Dental Choice Plan and the dental health maintenance organization (DHMO)—which will be called the HumanaDental DHMO plan—beginning Sept. 1. Visit the HR website to learn more.

STAR Services will soon be known as the Center for Academic Success, further expanding its comprehensive approach to academic support and enrichment. Visit the Academic Affairs Policies page to offer feedback on two proposed policies focused on students: Late Arrival for International Students and Recording Thesis and Dissertation Defenses. The policy drafts are open for 30-day campus review through May 31. Your comments are welcome.
