Connecting with Cardinals: Madison Hamby

Hometown:
Port Neches, Texas, which is about 15 minutes from ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University.

Major and classification:
Senior psychology major with a minor in business. I graduate in May 2020.

Why psychology:
I knew that I wanted to work in child therapy for a long time, and psychology seemed like a direct line to that field of work.

Campus involvement:
Some of the roles I hold on campus are ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ University Student Ambassador, a Student Conduct Board Member, the Student Coordinator for New Student and Leadership Programs, a former Orientation Leader and Student Orientation Coordinator, a member of the Honors College, a member of Psi Chi Honor Society and a former member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Why Orientation leader:
Simply put, I wanted to be a familiar face and a source of comfort for newer students, while simultaneously finding a place for myself on campus.
